Dirt Resistant Non Slip Door Mat

The Dirt Resistant Non Slip Door Mat from Dune & Ash sits at the door and takes the worst of what comes in on shoes, so it does not end up spread down a hallway. It is plain and modern rather than novelty, which is why it works at a front door, a back door or an apartment entrance without looking like a joke.

The surface is a low dense pile that scrapes grit out of a tread rather than letting it ride over the top, and it holds dirt down in the fibres until the mat is shaken or vacuumed. It absorbs water rather than pooling it, so wet shoes do not leave a slick just inside the door. The backing is rubber and grips hard floors, which matters at a threshold where a sliding mat is a real trip hazard, and the edges are bound so they lie flat instead of curling. Eight size and colour options are available.

Vacuum it or shake it out regularly, and hose it down and dry it flat when it needs more. Lift it after heavy rain so the floor beneath dries. It works inside the door, outside it, or as a pair front and back.
