ClearFrame Acrylic Photo Frame

The ClearFrame Acrylic Photo Frame from Dune & Ash is a digital frame that does not look like one. The IPS panel sits behind clear acrylic with almost no bezel, so a photograph appears to float rather than being framed by a black plastic border, which is the reason most digital frames end up in a drawer.

The IPS screen holds its colour and contrast from an angle, so the picture still reads properly from across a room rather than washing out the moment you step to one side. A built in battery means it runs without a cable, so it can go on a shelf, a hall table or a mantel where there is no socket, and it charges back up in an hour or two. Photos load from a phone, and the slideshow interval, orientation and brightness are all adjustable. It stands on its own edge or lies flat.

Wipe the acrylic with a soft dry cloth and skip household glass cleaner, which hazes acrylic over time. Keep it out of long direct sunlight, and set the sleep schedule so it turns off overnight rather than running continuously, which is better for both the panel and the battery.
