Faux Jute Outdoor Doormat

The Faux Jute Outdoor Doormat from Dune & Ash has the woven look of natural jute without the problem natural jute has, which is that it rots the first time it gets properly wet. This one is synthetic through and through, so it can live outside a front door in the rain and still look right in three years.

The weave is coarse enough to scrape mud and grit off a boot rather than simply wiping the sole, and the fibres shed what they collect when the mat is shaken or hosed. Water drains through instead of sitting in the pile, so it does not stay waterlogged after a wet week. The colour is UV stable and holds rather than bleaching out over a summer, and a rubber backing keeps it from sliding on a tiled porch. Nine size and colour options are available.

Shake it out or vacuum it, and hose it down when it needs more than that, standing it on edge to dry. It suits a front step, a back porch, a garage door or a laundry entrance. Lift it occasionally so the surface underneath dries out too.
