Half Circle Mosaic Door Mat

The Half Circle Mosaic Door Mat from Dune & Ash follows the arc of a doorway rather than sitting as a rectangle in front of it, which is a small thing that makes an entrance look deliberate. The mosaic pattern is printed edge to edge, so it reads as tilework from a distance and as a mat up close.

The pile is low and dense, so it scrapes dirt off a shoe instead of letting it pass over, and it holds what it collects down in the fibres until the mat is shaken out. It absorbs water rather than pooling it, so a wet day does not leave a slick across a threshold. The backing is rubber and grips hard floors, and the edges are bound so the curve holds its shape instead of curling up. It is rated for indoor and outdoor use, so it works inside a hallway or outside a front door. Two size options are available.

Shake it out or vacuum it regularly, and hose it down and dry it flat when it needs more than that. Lift it after heavy rain so the surface underneath dries. A pair works well front and back, or one inside the door and one out.
